Wellbe recently announced the expansion of Medicare Supplement plans to Florida. Agents contracted with Wellabe will be able to sell Medicare Supplement products during AEP 2024.
Wellcare will discontinue offering Medicare Advantage (MA) products in six states beginning with the 2025 Annual Enrollment Period. We will be exiting Alabama, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont. Wellcare will continue to offer prescription drug plans in these states, and this decision will not impact our marketplace or Medicaid contracts in these markets.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host a registration and training process for new agents and brokers. The virtual training will include an overview, general Marketplace updates, and best practices and will be held on July 23 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Humana recently introduced its updated process for agents to submit underwritten applications for Medicare Supplement Plans. The new process includes Humana's Enrollment Hub to streamline the process and get real-time underwriting.
The 2025 Medicare Certification Training will be available to producers beginning in June.
