Upcoming Enhancements to CICA Life of America's Commission Structure

Upcoming enhancements to CICA Life of America's commission structure, effective August 22, 2024.
In the coming weeks, detailed information regarding these changes will be provided, but for now, here is a preview of what agents can expect:

      1. Separate Management of Advance and As-Earned Commissions:

• Advance commissions and As-earned commissions will now be managed separately for active policies.
• As-earned commissions will be paid on policies from month 7+ after receiving the advance commission and on all months issued for policies that did not qualify for an advance commission in accordance with your commission schedule. Please get in touch with your upline for specifics on your commission schedule if you have any questions.

2. Continued 6-Month Payout for Advanced Commissions:

• We will continue to provide a 6-month payout (50%) for qualified initial premiums under the advanced commissions plan.

3. Advance Commission Chargebacks:

• If a policy lapses with less than 3 full monthly premium payments made, 100% of the commission received on that policy will be charged-back; and
• If a policy lapses with more than 3 full monthly premium payments made but less than 6 full monthly premium payments made, the commission will be charged-back on a pro-rata basis in proportion to the amount of the premiums received on the policy (e.g., if the policy lapses after 5 full monthly premium payments made, only 1/6 of the advanced commission will be charged-back).

4. New Commission Reporting:

• Enhanced commission reporting will soon be available in the agent portal for better tracking and transparency.
